Portraits focus on the details of the face, which is an intricate task and takes time, for this reason, we need to know the exact number of subjects in the painting in order to judge its complexity and to price it accordingly. Flat Texture is our standard texture offering. Paintings with a flat texture have paint thinly applied to the canvas, creating a smooth surface for the painting. This can create a calming effect for viewers.
Impasto, otherwise known as a textured painting, is our premium texture offering. These paintings are painted using thick layers of paint, providing a physical texture to the painting. This style can add life and expression to any oil painting.

For a portrait painting, you can select to keep the original background image in the photo, or you may upload a different background for use from a separate photo. Alternatively you can choose from one of our eight popular studio backgrounds, painted with depth and shading.

Unframed: The canvas is gently rolled with its surface inward and carefully placed into a sturdy shipping tube.
Stretched Canvas: The canvas is stretched tautly over the stretcher and held securely in place with metal fasteners. The edges of the canvas are a solid color that complement the painting.
Gallery Wrap: The canvas is stretched tautly over the stretcher and held securely in place with metal fasteners. The finished oil painting is wrapped around the edges of the stretcher.
